Give Thanks!!

Days like today make me so proud to be a mom!  I have a card I made with the Taylored Expressions set released last week called "Thankful" which is exactly what I am!

I came home tonight and my sweet 6 year old, Kaiden, had thrown his bags on the ground and his papers came tumbling out (not unusual)... I was thumbing through to see what he came home with so we could talk about his day and in the mound, I found a certificate which showed that he had been awarded the November PE Student of the Month.  I read through the certificate and couldn't be prouder of my kind hearted, caring little boy.  The teacher chooses one child from the elementary school to be recognized for using kind words, being a role model, persevering, being helpful, and encouraging others.  He was so modest, but you could see the look of pride on his face and it's one of those moments that I'll cherish!   Definitely one of those proud mama moments! (I posted a picture at the bottom of the post with him and his certificate-- he also received a little sports wristband, which he has on, but you can't see it well.) 

So anyway--- bragging done... here is my card with THANKFUL.  My favorite two colors and some fun apple coloring with a pop of a white gel pen.  I used an aqua colored pencil to shade the shadows... and added some doodle twine for a fun handmade look.  You can find the materials at Taylored Expressions.
