TCPTUES171 and 172 - Inspired with Felt

Hey everyone!  School is starting next week and I'm SO excited to get back to stamping more often.  I somehow got sucked into being on the PTA board as the co-president over the summer, so prepping for registration, running the summer fundraiser, getting ready for school open house, etc... has been sucking every spare moment in-between my photo shoots.  As sad as I am to know that my baby will be at school 3 days a week for preschool, I'm also excited to have some time with no kids to stamp, do kid-free errands, etc.  It's going to be SO strange next week with no one here in the afternoons!!

Well I have a few things to share today-- the first is a card combining TCPTUES171 (Christmas inspiration) and TCPTUES172 (challenge to use felt).  BIG BEAR was my go-to stamp set for these challenges and for my felt accents, I handcut a cute little santa hat, as well as a mound of snow.   I used buttons and colors from the inspiration images and I have to say, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  Although be warned.... do NOT try to sew over glue dots.  Not good on your sewing machine!  Oops!!

Before I go to bed, I just wanted to share some pictures I took of my kids earlier this week that I am SO excited about.  I had some canvases that I had bought on groupon that I needed to get used before they expired, so I made a little set and took them to the park to play.  We made a little canopy tent under the tree and had fun.  Each of the full sizes of the kid images are being made into canvases... and the one of all of them will probably be one eventually as well.  I just LOVE how the colors came out!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to be "seeing" and talking to get caught up with everyone soon!
