August Release At a Glance

For my first card today I used the new Joy to the World stamp set and a fabulous new Angel Kisses Taylored Card Kit! Joy to the World is a full sized set on a 5.75" x 8.5" full color sturdy storage panel and includes 21 images/sentiments. The set was illustrated by Nancy McKinney as part of the Whimsical Wishes line and it is the newest set in the TE Giving Tree Program. Also, for those who have purchased the Giving Tree sets in the past, there is one exciting change... the Giving Tree sets now come pre-trimmed just like the rest of our sets - no cutting needed. This quarter we are supporting the Angel Tree charity and five dollars from the sale of each Joy to the World stamp set sold from August 4th - October 31 will be donated.

For my first card all of the cardstock and ribbon came from the card kit. I made a very simple embossed angel with a little sewing and airbrushing, and put this card together in less than 10 minutes. Easy to replicate for holiday cards! The kit includes: 24 A2 Cream Envelopes, 24 Choice Buttercream A2 Card Bases, 24 Choice Buttercream Image Panels 4.25" x 5.5", 24 pieces of coordinating cardstock 4.25" x 5.5" (4 colors, 6 sheets each color), 24 pieces of Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses patterned paper 4" x 6", 6 yards of twill (2 yards each of Wine, Artichoke, Carnation), 1 package of Want to Scrap Maroon Pearls and 1 package of Want to Scrap Green Pearls. Plus there will be a downloadable inspiration sheet that will include 10 easy to re-create samples by the Baker's Dozen

For my second card today I made a NON-Christmas card using the same stamp set. I thought this would make a great Get Well card, I'm thinking of you card, or even a sympathy card. The sentiment says I'm praying for you and uses paper from Stella and Rose Hattie collection. The angels gown is paper pieced and I embossed gold glitter EP to her wings. The flowers are a sneak peek of something else coming this week (so stay tuned and watch for it!) Each flower has a Taylor's Tiny Twinkle in yellow glued in it. It's fun to see how a Christmas set can be turned into something you could use for other occasions as well.
