All That Scraps - Day Two - New Lolita's!!

Thursday, December 30, 2010

We have some exciting new images to show you today with our second day of sneak peeks at All That Scraps!  This month we have THREE new Lolita's from Rasha Reda and each one is cuter than the next.  I decided to use Ladybug Lolita for my card and I loved that she drew her holding a sunflower (I love using sunflowers for accents and I made two sizes of accent pieces using Spellbinders dies.)
The sentiment is from the Cookie Crumbs set - Ladybug Friends (which is on sale and almost out of stock at ATS-- get it while you can, there are SUPER cute sentiments in it!)

Don't forget to stop by the ATS blog to enter to win Rasha's new Lolita's for yourself-- and also check out the rest of the team's eye candy including the other two new Lolita's - Butterfly and Honeybee!!

Thanks for dropping by!!

All That Scraps - Day One - January Sneak Peeks!

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

Hello friends!! It's THAT time again-- the beginning of my two weeks of fun with new stamps and new dies!  Today is the first day of sneak peeks for All That Scraps and we have some CA-UTE new stamps to show you!! Christine never ceases to amaze me and when we all saw the two new cuties she drew for this sweet release, we were in love!! I used "Sweetheart Birgitta" and the accessories set "Key & Lock" for my card (and trust me when I tell you that "Violet with Key" is just as adorable!!
We also have a BRAND NEW C.C. Cutters die this month which coordinates with the Key and Lock accessories set.  It cuts three different shaped keys and a heart lock to use as accessories on your card.  I cut mine out with a silver paper to match the colors I used, so it shines like a real key.  The sentiment is also included with the Key and Lock accessories set, so I cut mine out with a Fancy Spellbinders Label die and then airbrushed it with R35.  I used a white signo pen to add dots to Birgitta's dress and the background is airbrushed with BG49.

Go check out the ATS Blog later today to see some adorable samples from the design team and also get a sneak peek of Violet!! Don't forget to link to the post for a chance to win these for yourself!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Sunday, December 26, 2010

Merry, Merry Christmas!!! (or Day after Christmas in this case...)  I hope you had as much fun as I did over this little holiday break... we had our fourth Christmas this afternoon and have one left to go next weekend... so the holiday fun isn't quite over in the Wild house.

I just wanted to pop onto my blog quick and share a couple of pictures... the first was one I used for my Christmas cards with the three munchkins...
And here they are on Christmas Eve dressed in their new sock monkey PJ's.  I thought they looked so stinkin' cute in their matching outfits!
Thanks for all of the support through the year and I truly cherish each and every one of you for visiting and sharing your lives with me on my blog!

TSB Glitter Challenge #9 - Party Time Louisa

Tuesday, December 21, 2010

Well better late, than never... right?!?  Yesterday, the final challenge of the year for The Stamping Bazaar was posted (HERE <-----)

The challenge is to make it GLITTER--use all of those sparkly, glittery accents or embellishments you have sitting around and make it shiny and fun!  I used Marina's new PARTYTIME LOUISA image-- I just love this little lion!
I used stickles all over the image in her dress, champagne glass, hat, and nose.  I also used glittery buttons and a blingy, shiny pin, as well as cream colored glitter cardstock for the zig zag accent beside the image.  All SUPER sparkly in real life!  (I'm adding it to my Etsy store right now too!)

I hope you are getting the final things done for Christmas-- I still need to do a few things, but hopefully I'll make it all on time for the weekend!  Is anyone else thrown off by the weekend holiday thing?? It's making me SO confused with the weird days off!

I have another card I'm finishing that I'll be posting soon, so it won't be a big long absence like it was this past week!! Come back soon!

Baby New Year

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Hello again!!  We have a little storm brewing tonight in Iowa... lots of slick and snowy roads, but I'm sitting here watching my DVR'd Sing Off and Top Chef sipping some hot chocolate, so it can snow all it wants!  I'm warm and snuggled up by the fireplace with my Yorkie and 3 year old... life is good! :)

I have a card here that I made a while back with a newly released image from Marina Neira at The Stamping Bazaar... here is "BABY NEW YEAR".  The Baby New Year digi comes with two images, one blank (like you see below) and another version with Happy New Year written into the top hat and banner.  Of course he's sipping apple juice in that glass (he IS a baby for goodness sakes!) He's just as cute as can be though-- I added an extra touch of rosy-ness to his chubby little baby cheeks and I kept the background pretty simple to highlight the image.

FYI: This card is available in my Etsy store and I added a few others last night too!

Thanks for the visit and keep warm!!

Friendship Blooms - Taylored Expressions

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

Hello friends!! The countdown to Christmas is here and I'm baking, wrapping, and gift making galore... I can't wait for this weekend to have my cousin and her three kids come over for our annual frosted sugar cookie day--- sprinkles will be everywhere and we'll love every messy moment of it!

I had a chance to play with the new "Friendship Blooms" set from the release this month at Taylored Expressions.  I used the Friendship Blooms Dies to cut the flowers and then used a 1/2" circle punch for the center of each one.

The ink colors I used are Lipstick Red, Alabaster, and Aquamarine Colorbox chalk ink, as well as Bahama Blue Memento Ink.  I used Desert Sand Memento Ink to sponge around the square.
I'm off to go sew some things... thanks for dropping in today!!

Day Three Peeks - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Saturday, December 11, 2010

It's day THREE of peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps--- and the image today cracked me up because it reminds me of my husband out shoveling our driveway every winter.  We live on the "wrong side" of the road for how the wind blows the snow and we end up with HUGE drifts every time it snows.  My husband goes outside looking like the Michelin man and freezes every bone in his body while he cleans out the driveway.  That is one of the few things that I just do not do in our house... mowing, garbage, handyman tasks-- those are all things I tackle, but cold weather and I just don't get along!!

Miles looks as pleased as my husband does to see the snow drifts and I added lots of icicle stickles for a snowy touch.

Tomorrow is our Kraftin' Kimmie blog hop-- so come back and hop along to see the full release!! Stop by the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog to see the list of the gals with peeks today!

New ATS Stamps Available Now!!!

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Wow-- it's been a busy month already... I had the Holiday Tour of Homes on Sunday and boy am I glad to have that over with so that my house can go back to the normal level of kid mess!  I sent my three maniacs to Grandpa and Grandma's from Saturday morning until after the house walk on Sunday night... I don't think I've ever had my house so clean!!

I fell behind on my sneak peeks due to all of the craziness this past week, so I have a couple of cards here featuring three of the NEW All That Scraps stamp set releases including one of the two new Sugarplum Emma images, one of the two new Love/Valentine Sentiment sets from Amy R Stamps, and one of Amy Young's GORGEOUS new Sweet November Snowflake Fairies.  All of the new releases are available NOW at All That Scraps.

First is my sweet Teddy Emma Card ... I used papers from Basic Grey's Olivia stack.  The sentiment was stamped with Cameo Coral for "Love" and then black with the overlaying sentiment.  I used a little piece of TCP cotton candy divine twine for Emma's hair.

And here is a card featuring Sweet November Snowflake Nixie...  I used the new Snowflake TCP die and found a fun snowflake charm from my stash for the center.  There are stickles in the interior of Nixie's snowflake for some snowy sparkle and everything was sponged with Tea Dye Distress Ink to match the K&Company glitter paper.

I'm heading to bed, but I'll have lots coming up including new Kraftin' Kimmie December stamps in the coming week!! More fun to come!!

Post 3 today!! Taylored Expressions - Sneak Peek Day Two

Thursday, December 2, 2010

DON'T MISS MY TSB CHRISTMAS BLOG HOP POST <----
and HERE is my ATS Sneak Peek Day ONE POST<----
It's day TWO at Taylored Expressions and today, we have some Crafty Petite stamp sets to show you which will be the perfect finishing touch for all of those crafty projects you make.  There are four total sets that you'll see as you jump around to the Baker's Dozen and I used two of the new sets for my project, Sewing and Papercrafting (my two favorite things to do!)
In addition to the stamping projects, I also want to show you the AWESOME new Scalloped border dies in THREE sizes that Taylor will now have in the store... I can never have enough border dies!!
Here is the completed fun gift set that I know my crafty friends would love!  I'll give you some details on each of the items below.

First, I stamped the tag for my fat quarter basket of fabulous fun fabric.  I stamped it with Memento ink and colored with copics, using Desert Sand to sponge the edges.  I used the SMALL SCALLOP BORDER DIE to decorate the tag and tied it with some Farmer's Market Twine to the basket.
I used the sewing machine from the sewing set for my main image and then hand cut the jar of buttons from the Papercrafting set as an accent to the sentiment.  I {heart} the button jar image!!   I also used the scallop and circle impression plate for the kiwi colored layer of cardstock and then sponged it for a little more definition and I used the Small and Medium scallop dies for the rose colored borders.  They look great layered with each other!

Stop by the rest of the Baker's Dozen and see what Crafty fun they came up with!!
