Under the weather...

Hi stamping friends!! I can't beleive it's been over a week since my last post... that has to be the longest "break" in over a year!  My little princess has been a sick, sick girl... she came down with pnemonia and ran a fever for over a week.  She's finally starting to come around, so "lap duty" has lightened up and she's beginning to run around and play more.  Poor little sweetie just felt horrible and couldn't stop coughing!!

Well in my absence, I missed the Sugarplum kit review last Friday and since Friday is TOMORROW, I figured I better get it posted because this card is a favorite!! This is Sugarplum Emma in her shiny raincoat and boots.  I picked this "Quite Contrary" My Mind's Eye paper while I was in Ankeny earlier this month, knowing that Emma was just MADE for it!!  I paper pieced her umbrella with the ginham and used lots and LOTS of crystal effects on her coat, boots, and rainpuddle (hand colored)  to give this card tons of dimension and texture.

Sometimes a card turns out JUST like you want it to (more often, NOT!), so I'm always excited when one is just like I imagined!

The full card is pictured below here... the sentiment comes with the Sugarplum Spring Kit from ALL THAT SCRAPS and it was COMPLETELY appropriate for my daughter this past week!!

Those flowers were punched with a Martha Stewart 3 flower punch (I think? it's called Hibiscus maybe???-- correct me if I'm wrong!)  and then the outer flower is from the Contemporary Hearts Spellbinders die set.

Here's a list of copics that I used and I should be back to stamping "business" soon with lots of fun peeks coming up (which I need to get busy making!!) :)

Hope everyone is doing well and I can't wait to get some blog hopping time in to see all the stuff I missed out on!!

Amazing card, Tori! I'm so sorry to hear that your little one was so sick. It's so awful when they aren't feeling well, but I'm glad she's on the mend ;D

Hi Tori. I am so sorry to hear your little one has been sick. I swear there is nothing worse. It always just kills me when one of mine is sick, and they are almost 12 & 13. Glad to hear she is up and going again. Hugs to you both. I have to say that your card is just wonderful. I love the accents on the coat and boots...Lisa G
