ATS Snowflake Challenge - Winter Bear

Wednesday, December 31, 2008

A second post in the day--- WOAH!!! I didn't want to miss out sharing the challenge at ATS today, in which Christine asked us to incorporate snowflakes somewhere in our card, but not use "Christmas" paper. I had this Martha Stewart Snowflake paper and with the rich kraft color and white & red snowflakes... I thought it would be perfect!

I couldn't resist adding a little "Anna-esque" snowflake/button combo on here as well, PLUS- I used my curvy rectangle dies for the card, which were super fun to use! After I cut the white layer, I ran it through the swiss dots embossing folder to give it the texture.

My image was colored with copics-- and I THOUGHT that I wrote down the colors, but somehow, in the mess that is currently my stamping room, I can't find them--- so if you are curious about a specific color, just let me know and I'm sure I can let you know!

I will have several more ATS sneak peeks this week that you will NOT want to miss--- so I hope you come back or stop by the ATS blog to see more!

Thanks!
Tori

Critter Sentiments Peek - CDS

Okay-- Are you ready for some more CUTEness!! These were my VERY favorite releases for January--- This is a peek at TWO stamp sets from Clear Dollar Stamps--- "Spring Critters" and "Critter Sentiments". One of the best things is that the sentiments set matches old and new critter sets that CDS has. There are tons of cute sayings and I'm a sucker for cute little animals!

The first card is with the little chick in spring critters (I can see this making a super cute Easter card!)- there is a saying "My Favorite Peep" that Alex and Linda used on their cards.. so check those out as well! I used some Cosmo Cricket paper and sewed a "wonky" border that I edged with Rusty Pickle vintage buttons. I hope you like it!!

The next card is using a different stamp set "CUTE Critters" and here is one of the new sayings that was perfect for that little porcupine-- Isn't this adorable for Valentine's Day--- And check it out-- I figured out a different use for my Martha Stewart Mica Flakes--- Add some chunky glitter to hearts instead of snowflakes! :)

The rest of supplies are listed below!

Also-- Today the sneak peeks are still going on at Storage Units, Ink and More with their adorable new stamp sets--- Check out the gals below to see their creations!!

Have a great New Years Eve!

SUINK Sneak Peek - Sweet Thing

It's my turn to give you a peek of one of the new stamp sets being released January 1st at Storage Units, Ink & More. This card was made with the "Sweet Things" set and I received my heart nestabilities just in time for the new Valentine sets being released this month! YAY! I used the stencil from the heart die to sponge the inside of the heart.

I also combined this card with the OCC challenge to use something clear. My clear on the card is a Heidi Swapp Acetate Heart (Can you find it on the left side of the sentiment banner??)

Here is the schedule for the next few days... so jump around and take a look at the other adorable creations with these valentine sets!

SUINK and Clear Dollar Stamps SNEAK PEEKS!!

Sunday, December 28, 2008

Hi Everyone!! I'm baaaa-ckkkk!! :) As much as I ADORE Christmas, I just finished our last one this morning and I have to say, I can not WAIT to get everything pulled down, the house back in order, and toys put away in the toy room!!! Enough with the clutter already!! :)

I have a couple of things for you today--- the first is that three of my design team buddies have sneak peeks of the new SUINK stamp sets--- "Will you be my Valentine?" and "Sweet Things". I will have a sneak peek using one of the new stamp sets tomorrow too, so stop back and take look!! There are also NEW design team members announced on the SUINK blog-- I've been visiting these wonderful ladies blogs and there are some amazing new talents on the team! I know there were a TON of fabulous applications, so it had to be a really difficult choice!! Stop by and tell them congrats!! Today's "Sneak-Peekers" are below:

December 28th:
Mary Jo Price Williams http://www.technostamper.blogspot.com/
Suzanne Dean http://www.scrapbitz.blogspot.com/
Colleen Wold http://www.glitterink.blogspot.com/

Next--- I have some sneak peeks of new CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS that will be released on January 1st!!! Wait until you see all of the cute new sets!! The peeks I'm showing today are using some "word" sets called "Card Categories" and "Card Categories Too"---- You can make almost any sentiment for your cards with these two sets and they are SOOOO affordable!! Stop by the other gals (Check out my sidebar to see everyone's names!) I'll have more sneak peeks all next week for you--- so stay tuned for more!!

This first card is using one of my all time favorite CDS stamps "Nutty Christmas" along with the Card Categories sets. I loved how fun and festive this turned out and it ended up going to my husband's boss (It was a card without a bow on it, so it was "guy" enough for him! :)
The next card uses "Gigi Giraffe" along with the Card Categories sets... I thought these would be adorable for Baby Thank You's!! The prima's are bridal flower prima confetti from Michael's that I colored with my copics to match the paper and image.

OH and GUESS what I got for Christmas!!! I have a Copic Airbrush system coming in the mail!! YIPPEEE!!! My husband waited to make sure my mom didn't get me one, and then let me order exactly what I needed.... there is a sure fire way to know I'll LOVE my gift! :) Once it gets here, I'll have to figure out how the contraption works, but I can't wait to try it out!!

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Christmas-- -I still have some "Winter" cards to get out, since I missed Christmas, but better late than never, right!! :)

Back to the grind tomorrow, Boo-Hoooooo---- I know I'm supposed to be refreshed and ready to work after 2 1/2 weeks off, but I think I'd rather take another couple of months! lol--- I don't think that will fly at the office!!

Thanks for stopping by!

SUINK Whachadoin' Wednesday Holiday Challenge (and a bonus tag!)

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

It's Christmas Eve--- the final gifts still need wrapped, cooking for Christmas Eve dinner needs to be done, about 5 loads of laundry are calling my name--- BUT..... I'd much rather stamp! :)

The MAJOR accomplishment last night was cleaning the tornado that went through our basement (aka: Parker and Kaiden in their "creative play mode" tossing all the toys throughout the basement!) I spent hours working on it and sorted it into "Donate", "Toss", and "Keep" piles--- so I can NOW find my floor and there should now be room for the next load of toys that I'm sure will be added over the next two days! Then the cycle can start all over again! OH THE JOYS OF MOTHERHOOD! :)

So on to the stamping that I did when I should have been wrapping!

It's Whachadoin' Wednesday at SUINK (Storage Units, Ink & More - SUINKWWC20) and the challenge today is a simple one---show our favorite holiday card/set/or re-show a favorite that had previously been posted. Well my favorite SUINK card for Christmas was the card HERE -(it's the second one with the reindeer!) -- I just loved the colors, layout, and adorable images.)

Sooooo.... I used the same set and made another card that I love almost as much--- it's a little less involved with no masked layers or images, but these cute little deer and Santa make an adorable card no matter what you do!

I double layered the icicles and added some stickles for extra sparkle... and added a fun blue rhinestone brad to the sentiment.
In addition to a card, I made really simple little tag that I hadn't posted yet using the Monster Party set and I added the hat and sentiment from the Deer Ol' Santa set that I used in the card up above. I hand-wrote the "To and From" and added a little button as an extra touch. To add some texture, I used "Core'dinations" cardstock, which gives that rich texture to whatever you make! I thought about sanding it, but decided to just cuttlebug it instead-- Super fun and easy for a gift tag!

I won't be posting for a couple of days, so I hope you have a WONDERFUL Holiday and that you enjoy time with your friends and family. I'm looking forward to seeing the kids excitement and all of the fantastic food!! It's Prime-Rib tonight at my parents, so MMMMmmmm... it makes my stomach growl just thinking about it!!

SFYTT Snow Bunnies ATS

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

Edited: I fixed the picture--- Much better! :)

I loved how this card turned out for the sketch though. I used Jen's "Sketch for you to try" and all of the snowflakes for the accents were so much fun!
I'm down to the "final stretch" on Christmas shopping-- every year, I tell myself I'll get it done early.... but we still have a few small items to pick up tomorrow and hopefully then I can focus on cleaning up the house! I think the boys pulled every single toy out of the baskets and toy boxes and spread them from one side of our basement to the other. I've been trying to "bribe", "threaten", and "beg" them to clean everything up for 3 days and so far, it's a no-go. One more try tomorrow and we'll see how they do.

Have a great day!

Winter Distraction...

Monday, December 22, 2008

Hi everyone!! Well, we had our first official "blizzard" of the winter.... roads are closed tonight and schools are already delayed for tomorrow. Oh the fun of Iowa Winters!!

I still have shopping to do tomorrow, so I'm crossing my fingers that it's clear enough to get to some stores!

Since I REALLY didn't want to think about winter and snow tonight, I put myself in an Easter mood and made this fun card with the "Faux Easter Bunny" stamp from Whipper Snapper. I just LOVE the sentiments that are in Anna's new "Love at Home" set and when I saw this one, I knew it needed paired with this stamp.

I also used this for the Featured stamper challenge today at Splitcoast-- I edited my challenge list in my sidebar today to include the Splitcoast challenges (so you can easily click over to it in that list) .. today's featured stamper was Paula Tracy (who also has been a featured stamper for Whipper Snapper and has CRAZY wonderful coloring skills!) I'll probably use several other cards of hers for inspiration this week!

Well if you're stuck in the ice-lands along with me, hopefully this distracts you from the snow and cold for a few minutes! (If it makes you feel any better-- the temperature in Iowa today was colder than it was in Alaska! --- now that's DARN cold!)

Hope you have a WARM Monday!!
Tori

NO Christmas cards here!! Welcome Neighbor!

Saturday, December 20, 2008

How about a couple of more fun NON-Christmas cards! :) I still have a few to finish and send out, but it's been fun to get a break with these cute Anna images from the Welcome Neighbor and Love at Home sets. This little owl in the tree cracks me up--- Doesn't he look like the "How many licks to the center of a Tootsie Pop?" owl from the commercials in the 80's?? (Yep, showing my age with that reference probably!) lol... I just think he's a cutie!

I had to do several "fixes" with this card--- it was on watercolor paper, which sometimes, I'm fine with, and other times... well, let's just say, "Not so much". I had doodles around the edges, and then they smeared because like a moron, I used a SU marker vs. a waterproof one! DUH!! Anyway, I had to get creative, so I hope it looks okay!

I hadn't used the house in the set yet...so I made this card. I just LOVE that Urban Prairie Basic Grey paper--- If you don't have any of these paper packs yet, GO GET THEM! They are SO cute and fun on cards! As I was uploading this on SCS, I saw the card Kim (Blondie090277) put on there tonight and it puts my little pink house to shame. MAN, that gal has CRAZY skills in card marking!! :) Go check her card out and you'll see what I mean!

My prediction last night was accurate--- Schools were all closed Friday and actually, my husband stayed home and worked from here as well. Our snowblower decided to break about 1/2 into the driveway, so he scooped the rest by hand. Poor guy!!

I'm off to bed, it's way too late and I keep getting sucked into TLC movies-- I'm watching Bad News Bears right now, there HAS to be something else I should be doing! :) Um, like maybe finishing my Christmas stuff!! Oh well-- There's a few days left still! :)

Thanks for dropping by!

Bear Hugs - Blueberry Cupcake - CC197

Thursday, December 18, 2008

Okay--- I mentioned yesterday the card with the color challenges--- and I decided I don't "hate" it, so I'm posting it. I "LOVE" the set--- it was just the colors that were a little strange for me! I wasn't sure when I got started, but I thought it turned out as a pretty cute "guy" card--- although my husband says I'd need to take off the ribbon for a guy-- not MANLY enough apparently!!

It's sleeting like crazy right now-- there are a couple of inches of ice on the deck right now and we're expected to get over 8 inches of snow... ICK!! Sounds like no school --- Lord help me with the boys and their arguments!! We had to break up a "chasing match" around the living room and kitchen over some toy--- screaming while running in and out of a run is REALLY annoying as a general rule!!

I'm headed to bed --- Have a great day!

SC207 Pony Express

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

Is this stamp cute or what?!?

The sketch challenge was just what I needed to finish this little guy off tonight. I colored him yesterday and couldn't figure out what I wanted to do--- so I went to my trusty Splitcoast challenges and this weeks didn't disappoint. I giggled when I saw it was based on a card from Anna (I don't think I could not like anything that comes from her creative mind!)

I'm also working on another card with the adorable Bear Hugs set that I showed the other day--- I was trying to figure out how to work in this weeks color challenge and it's REALLY challenging me!! :) I don't have it finished yet, but I'll post it tomorrow if I don't hate it! :)

So on to a couple of quick projects...

Here is another project with the brand spankin' new Whipper Snapper sets. This one uses "Love at Home", as well as "Hello Neighbor". All can be found HERE.
This was a really quick card and simple layout with using just the mushrooms. I used watercolor paper and reinkers with my aquabrush (I used several colors to get shading)... and then sewed a simple square around the image and added dew drops. This archaeic paper from Basic Grey was just perfect for the mushroom image!

Stamps: Welcome Neighbor, Love and Home - New Whipper Snapper stamps designed by Anna Wight (SweetMissDaisy)
Ink: Black Stazon, Really Rust, Summer Sun, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie (Reinkers with waterbrush)
Paper: Archaeic Basic Grey, Coredinations, SU Watercolor paper
Accessories: Sewing, Dew Drops, Michael's Ribbon, Glue Dots

And here is a quick peek at the other candy jar I made. This is a smaller version of the one I posted the other day, but all of the preparation was essentially the same. I just changed up the colors and ribbon.

Stamps: Making the Grade - Kim Hughes, Newsprint Alphabet

SUPaper: Stampin' Up DP, PTI White

Ink: Real Red, So Saffron, Old Olive

Accessories: Taylored Expressions Ribbon, Sewing, Buttons, Linen Thread

That's my updates for tonight-- I'll be working on some Wednesday challenges during the day tomorrow-- I'm guessing it will be a snow day-- -we were POUNDED with snow today-- my Yorkie was buried trying to go outside, so we had to shovel a "potty-spot" for him!! He looked at me like I had 3 heads when I tried to take him out. Poor guy!

Teacher Candy Jar - Christmas Gift

Hi everybody--- I'm still enjoying my wonderful vacation with lots of time with the kiddos... today we had a perfect day of reading books, taking a nap, and wrapping presents--- there is nothing better than picking your 3 year old from preschool and hearing "I LOVE YOU MOMMY!" and then snuggling while watching Elmo on the couch. Best day ever and I just love naps in the afternoon!! :) (Although I did wake up in a panic thinking I overslept and didn't pick up my kindergartner in time--- I actually had an hour before I needed to leave, but didn't know how long I had been sleeping!)

So on the subject on Kindergarten--- I've been finishing up Christmas gifts and made a super simple candy jar for my sons teacher. It's filled with "Cherry Cordial" and "Hot Cocoa" Hershey's Kisses. Yummmm!!! I still have one more to do for the preschool teacher, and I really hope they like them.

Basics to make these are an Anchor Hocking jar from Walmart ($2.79 each), 2 strips of Designer paper to wrap around the jar (which I affixed with Mod Podge), and whatever accessories you need to decorate.

I had to layer two strips of paper because the 12 inch peice wasn't long enough to cover the entire jar. I cut two strips at the same width (attempting to match the pattern as closely as I could.)

I used the newsprint alphabet set from Stampin' Up! (retired set) for the teacher's name and then sewed it to a peice of cardstock to add a fun handmade look. I added a few buttons and then used the pencil from Kim Hughes "Making the Grade" set to add a little accent. I also have the apple from that set on the lid, I'll try to take a picture tomorrow and add it-- I forgot to take that angle!! Oops! And the final touch was the ribbon, which I affixed with sticky strip.

This was a really easy project and hopefully it's something unique that the teacher's will like. We also give the teachers a gift card every year (my cousin is a teacher and I know that's her favorite gift), but this adds a personal touch to it as well!

Have a great day!!

Whipper Snapper Release Day!

Monday, December 15, 2008

YAY, YAY--- It's Whipper Snapper release day!!

I have a couple of fun new images to show you from the new sets available TODAY at Whipper Snapper.

The new sets are called "Bear Hugs", "Love AT Home", and "Hello Neighbor".

For this first card, I used the set "Hello Neighbor" for the images and "Love at Home" for the sentiment. The layout was Jen DelMuro's SFYTT sketch challenge this weekend.

Isn't the little poodle just adorable!! I have a "pink poodle" card that I'm working on for a post later this month, but I think she looks cute in tans/browns as well. I was sewing "challenged" when I was working on the designer paper. The thread was caught and broke off, then I couldn't get the corners to round properly... so I went with a REALLY home-spun look for the whole card instead!
The next card is using the "Bear Hugs" set, which is my absolute favorite of these releases... this is just the cutest set for Valentine's Day.

I "EEEkkked" when I saw the set, so I know you'll love it!

I based this layout from a card by "Cards by America", the featured stamper this weekend at Splitcoast. I absolutely LOVE this Cosmo Cricket paper!! They have some of my all time favorite papers!

I broke out the primsacolor pencils and gamsol for this card (which I haven't done for a long time!) I hope you like it!!

Don't forget about my BLOG CANDY--- It ends tomorrow night and I've gotten some great ideas for Christmas treats from some of you! Yumm!!

Have a great Monday!

OCCC - Featured Project!! YAY! Gift Card

Saturday, December 13, 2008

Well Hello! If you play along in the OCC (Our Creative Corner) challenge each Saturday--- than you may see that Julee emailed me to ask if I would mind having the gift card tutorial that I posted a while back be featured this week. OF COURSE, I was honored and said, "Absolutely!"

I made another Whipper Snapper gift card holder for the occassion and inked up the puppy in the "Cozy Critters" Whipper Snapper set for the first time. Is he cute or is he cute??
These gift cards are so quick and easy--- and what I really like is how they can add a personal touch to a gift card (which is one of my personal favorite gifts!) :)
Remember that you can click on any of the
pictures to see a close-up view... I reposted the gift card tutorial here as well as the copic colors I used.
I sponged the edges of everything in vintage distress ink to just give it an extra "aged look" and I thought that worked well with this FAB Glittery MME paper that I picked up with a coupon at Michael's.
Here is an inside view as well-- the icicles are fun on EVERYTHING, but especially cute as a layer for where the giftcard goes in. (Do ya like my little vintage heart by the sentiment?--- yep, that's a "Boo-Boo fixer"... I have to do those quite often!
Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget, I have a blog candy posted HERE as well!! Welcome to any new visitors, I hope you stop back often!!

SUINK Challenge Fix! :)

Friday, December 12, 2008

Happy Friday!!! Well I messed up the challenge on Wednesday for SUINK, I was thinking Non-Holiday turned into Holiday and instead, it was to take a Holiday stamp and use it for an all-purpose card! So here is a little stack of presents from the "Santa's Little Helpers" set that I turned into a bright and shiny Birthday card that could be used all year! 2nd try is a charm! :)

I used the sketch challenge at SCS for the layout and used the pinking circle Nesties die to layer the presents. (You have to look closely-- they are peeking out from the white!)

Stay tuned-- later tonight I'm also going to post a BLOG CANDY-- my VERY FIRST!!

Be back soon!

Kreativ Blogger Award

Thursday, December 11, 2008

I’m SO bad with getting these done!! But since I’m on VACATION (I know, my husband and coworkers want to punch me for bringing it up every two seconds!), I have the time to sit here and “pay it forward!!” while Gabby snacks on her goldfish crackers.

There are a TON of creative gals that I LOVE to visit… so it’s hard to only pick a handful, but here are a few (maybe a few more than a few?) of my MUST STOP DAILY blogs!!

1. Anna Wight – “Sassy & Sweet Notes” - Who DOESN’T stop by her blog daily?? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—I wanna be her when I “grow” up!

2. Jen Muraoka – “Kiyomi Krafts” Her coloring skills are unmatched and I’m super duper excited to be on a design team with her this upcoming year!! She inspires me every time I visit—and she’s prompted SEVERAL purchases of MUST HAVE copic colors for me!

3. Kerry Donovan-Casey “Three Clovers Designs” – She is fantastic and her kids are just adorable. We have very similar taste in stamp images and she comes up with the cutest cards!

4. Lana Lepinski – “Lunar Lana” – Ever since I’ve found her blog, I’ve stopped back daily, her projects are AMAZING and have also prompted “many-a-purchase”.

5. Kim Teasdale – “Paper In the Works” – I’m on two design teams with Kim and one word “WOW”. She has such a defined, gorgeous style and I bet the post- man likes her with all of those layers!! Lol… I’m guessing triple postage—but who wouldn’t LOVE to receive any one of her cards!!

6. Cheryl Rowley – "Cottage Creations” Cheryl has a “new-er”blog, which I’ve been following since the day I found it, and I had been a SCS admirer of hers prior to her blog. Her Magnolia scenes and images are artwork!!

7. Leigh O’Brien – “Sunflower Studio” Her blog is just eye candy everywhere—Fun, bright colors and just a fun place to stop by!

8. Last but not least, my first “blog-world friend” Michelle Petermann—“Mommy Time” Her sense of humor cracks me up and her coloring, especially on some of those adorable High Hopes cards, is just fantastic… and even though she insults herself, her “sewing” looks spot-on-perfect to me!! :)

I have a TON more I could mention, but these are a handful of some of my “first” blogs that I started following and that I am inspired by with their creativity!

Thanks to Jami (Sgt Stamper) and Katie Renz for nominating me (like an EON ago!) They both are FANtasticly creative bloggers themselves!!
The Rules - Which I didn't follow, but figured I'd post anyway!!
1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 5 blogs (or don't - I just wanted to recognize some of my "stalking spots"
4. Put links to their blogs (go visit them and say Hi!)
5. Leave a message for your nominees.
I might be back later with a card--- cause you know, I'm on vacation! (hee-hee)

Gingersnaps ATC Gift Card Challenge 30

The All That Scraps challenge this week was to make a gift card. I couldn't resist using the adorable "Gingersnaps - Snow Bunnies" images to make my card.

I used the largest size scallop nestabilities die to make the olive layer and folded a normal card in half, then ran it through my cuttlebug with 3 of the scallops outside of the cutting surface so that they would hold the card together. Super easy and I love the look of round cards!

I then used a smaller classic circle die to cut two circles from my pattern paper, cutting the inside one in (about) half. I sewed the bottom semi circle to the paper to form a little "pocket" and you could do the same with adhesive. This is the section that holds the gift card.

For the front--- I made an "Anna-esque" Snowflake bouquet--- and adhered it with glue dots. Then I made a banner using Anna's "Winter Schminter" set (I love the sayings in that set!)

Don't look at a close up of the sewing--Boy, I didn't realize how hard sewing in a circle is... I hacked up the paper pretty well in my attempt! Oh well, I made it a "vintage" look to make it work! Half of stamping is fixing your "mistakes"!

(FYI- To see a close up of the colors I used, just click on the photo!-- I've had some requests to post my colors I'm using for copics, which I always love when I'm blog hopping too, so I'll try to do a better job of posting a pic of them!)
Have a GREAT day-- I'm OFFICIALLY on Vacation-- YAY!!

"Wrapped" up for Christmas - SUINKWWC18

Wednesday, December 10, 2008

It's Whachadoin' Wednesday at Storage Units, Ink and More--- and also a big announcement will be coming announcing the new design team members-- I can't wait to see who will join us in the fun!!

The challenge this Wednesday is to use your non-Holiday stamps to make a Holiday card --- which is the general theme this month as well. I used the Monster Party set again--- and I sat and thought for HOURS about what I could use for a sentiment. I had "Gift Wrap - 25¢", "Mummy Christmas", "Wrapped Up with Christmas?", "Do Not Unwrap until Christmas", and several other renditions-- I couldn't decide on one, so I used this sentiment from SASI.

Have some fun with us and play along-- we'd love to see what you can do with your non-Holiday stamps to make a Holiday card! If you post to SCS, use keyword: SUINKWWC18.

Thanks for stopping by--- and if you have a good idea for a saying, let me know--- I might swap it out-- I still think I could have come up with something more creative!!

I used Taylor's Cupcake Friday sketch for the design-- the oval was a perfect little perch for this little Snow Bunny to sit!

Candy Cane Lily

I'm back! What a crazy busy week-- I actually went THREE days without stamping! While I didn't stamp, I did cut up 170 cards for my Stamp-A-Stack this Monday. That's a LOT of cutting!!

I had a little time to stamp tonight and made a little Christmas Lily card with Dress-Up Lily from Pink Cat Studio. The K&Co. Holiday paper is just the cutest and I love the colors.

I haven't had much time to blog hop, so I hope to get some time tomorrow to jump around and see what I missed!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hoppy Christmas - SUINKWWC17

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

It's Whachadoin' Wednesday at Storage Units, Ink and More... and the challenge today was to make a card that primarily consists of white. I LOVE the simple look of white cards--- and LOOK, LOOK--- do ya'll see!! Look at what came today--- CURVY LABEL ONE Spellbinder dies. Love em!! (Clear Dollar Stamps had them in stock-- so RUN fast to go get em!!)

This card took no more than 10 minutes to make-- which is a big benefit for this time of year and I'm having fun with the challenge this month to use non-holiday stamp sets to make holiday cards! I made a computer generated "HOPPY CHRISTMAS" with a 2Peas font "Stop Sign" and cuttlebugged the white with my ornament embossing folder. I added a few dew drops from the Halloween colors I had and DONE!

This week will be a little crazy--- I was out late at dinner last night (free grown-up food, woo-hoo!) and I'm also prepping for a SIXTEEN person Stamp-A-Stack on Monday, so EEEKKK--- I will probably only post a few times this week (in case you wonder where I am!) I'll be the one with sore fingers and dull blades in my fiskers trimmer from cutting too many cards!!

Have a Great Wednesday and we'd love to see you play along in the "White Christmas" challenge--- If you post to SCS, use keyword "SUINKWWC17".

We've been challenged this month to use NON-Holiday stamp sets to create Holiday cards for Storage Units, Ink and More--- so when I saw this saying and paired it with the walking monster from Monster Party--- I just had to make this card!! :)

I used the sketch challenge from Splitcoast last week for the layout and some of my favorite My Mind's eye paper.
