(Tee-Hee) --- How could I resist?!? The first time I saw the Cozy Critters--- I knew immediately I would need to make this sentiment for the little chicken in the set. Anna's "Crazy Chickens" set from a couple of months ago had a sentiment in it that said "Happy Cluckin' Birthday"--- so I just had to go with it! :)
I attached a template that I drew up for how to make a super quick and easy gift card holder. I've seen a lot of different ones out there, but they were difficult to find and had too many steps for when I just wanted to make one SUPER quick. Which is what I need to do a lot of each Christmas.
I will have a few of these on-hand for those "drop in" visitors for last minute "oops- I forgot" gifts. I always have a handful of Target gift cards at the holidays, but this will personalize them a lot more!
I dressed up the inside of the gift card holder as well-- just a little designer paper and on this first one, I used the little symbols from Crazy Chickens and versamarked (then white detail embossed) to make a border where the gift card will go.
I made several of these-- so I'm posting a few on here-- but you get the idea-- super simple, decorate with some little accents like snowflakes, stamping, or ribbon--- and you're good to go for the holidays!
This snowman one is using the Winter Schminter set from Whipper Snapper--- I love all of the cute sayings in the set and this little snowman is just adorable. I just wrap the belly band around the card after it's completely made and use on tiny strip of sticky strip to close it, then use a couple of glue dots to attach the accent piece. The last one here is with Penguin Antics and again with my Martha Stewart Icicle Edge punch-- I LOVE THAT THING!!
I'll be back with another post later tonight-- just finishing up a project!!Supplies
